
I PRACTICALLY destroyed a pair of friends recently by serving what I called a Romanian martini. It was actually a vodka martini with lemon marmalade in it instead of vermouth. The truth is lemon marmalade is made traditionally in Romania to complement grilled meats by steeping lemons in sea salt for hours.
